Mohit’s journey began at a young age, inspired by his mother’s courage in establishing a boutique to support the family during a time when women in the workforce were a rarity. Growing up in a household that revered handcrafted artistry, Indian heritage, and culture, Mohit developed a natural inclination towards design and fashion. Yet, no one could have foreseen that one day he would create a brand renowned for preserving and celebrating the cultural essence of India.
Mohit’s creative path took a significant turn when he married Anjula Falor, whose unwavering support and belief in his talent pushed him to redefine his aspirations. Encouraged by her, Mohit went beyond his limits and established Daamann, a brand that not only gave his work a distinct identity but also marked a new chapter in his legacy. Her encouragement fueled his passion and transformed his vision, empowering him to expand his repertoire and establish a strong presence in the fashion industry.

While supporting his family at a very young age in the marble industry of Makrana, Mohit discovered his true calling within the realm of fashion and he then joined his mother on this journey. He delved into the realm of Indian handlooms, starting from scratch. His mother took a step forward to source raw materials from Kolkata and showcase the exquisite collection of sarees, in exhibits around Jaipur. It was the beginning of transcending the beauty of handcrafts and craftsmanship.
